A Major Milestone
This registration marks a significant milestone in our team's journey. The URC is one of the world's most challenging robotics competitions, attracting the brightest engineering minds from universities across the globe.
What This Means for Our Team
With registration confirmed, we now enter the critical preparation phase. Our team will be working tirelessly on:
Finalizing the Phoenix-X1 rover design and build
Testing autonomous navigation systems
Practicing competition tasks including sample collection and terrain traversal
Conducting field tests in challenging environments
The Competition Ahead
URC 2026 will test our rover's capabilities across four main mission categories: Science, Equipment Servicing, Autonomous Travel, and Extreme Retrieval & Delivery. Each task simulates real-world Mars rover operations.
We're ready to compete alongside the world's best and showcase the innovation and dedication that defines Team ROVER-71.
